If you want to be able to switch out images on a regular basis, you need to tell us this up front.
Some design elements can make switching out images easy. Some are impossible to update. Therefore, we need to be made aware of your intentions in your design selection.
For instance, a blended set of images are extremely difficult to update (I would argue close to impossible). This is due to the nature of the blending process. Each image is uniquely blended into another.
However, a banner with 4 thumbnail images of town would be easy to update. Keep in mind, though, you will need to size any future images to an exact dimension.
