Personal Home Page:
The Personal Home Page is an extended version of the standard FirstClass® user information page. This form is intended to allow department heads, teachers, and other contact people to post personal or professional information to the organizational Web site.
Details Tab - Standard Fields
Give your page a name and a subject, and fill out any additional fields as necessary. For more information on setting up core page details, visit the Standard Details Tab help page.
Details Tab - Info Fields
Image: The image field and associated ALT text field allows you to place an image alongside the contact information in the pre-styled section of the rendered Web page. For more information on using images in this manner, visit the Working With Images help page.
Category Headers: Category headers (editable fields in dark green) are placed before each appropriate section. Each category header has a default value suggesting what the associated field is for. Category headers can be changed as needed. Any section without data will not have the category header rendered whether or not it has been changed.
Address Fields: The first suggested field set is for mailing address information. Although the category header can be changed, this fieldset will display in the form of an address, so it's best to use the fields in this manner (although you could easily rename the category header to "For More Information" or "Location").
Email: The email field can only include an email address (EG: llidoff@mttypical.org). When rendered to the Web site, the email address is randomly split and recombined in such a way as to deter robot "harvesting" of the address for unsolicited email.
Phone/Contact Fields: This set of four fields defaults to various forms of contact, such as phone or fax. However, these fields can be used for any type of "short" information.
Hours Field: This multiline field defaults to a listing of hours, but is useful for any short paragraph or list information.
Additional Links Tab
The additional links allows you to create a formatted links section.
Section Header: The section header (an editable field in dark green) contains the text that will serve as the header for the links area. The section header can be changed as needed.
Text Fields: The text field column represents the text that will be displayed for the associated link.
Link Fields: The link field column represents the links that will be wrapped around the associated text. The link field can include a relative link (EG: /pages/index), and absolute link (EG: http://mtt.whatifnet.com/), or an email address (EG: llidoff@mttypical.org). When rendered to the Web site, the email address is randomly split and recombined in such a way as to deter robot "harvesting" of the address for unsolicited email.
