Redirect Form
111010_15444_0.pngRedirect Form:

The Redirect Form is used when you want to send users from one location to another. The most common use of this form is in included containers, where the posted information already exists on another page or on another site, but you wish to draw attention to it as a news item. By using the Redirect Form, you don't need to duplicate the page.

Details Tab - Standard Fields

Give your page a name and a subject, and fill out any additional fields as necessary. For more information on setting up core page details, visit the Standard Details Tab help page.

Search Type: The Redirect Form will show up in searches, and you have the option of identifying it in the search results using this field.

Redirect: The redirect field can include a relative link (EG: /pages/index), or an absolute link (EG: http://mtt.whatifnet.com/). This is the page to which the user will be redirected when accessing the form.

Free-Form Area

Since the Redirect Form is not rendered directly, most uses of the free-form area don't apply. However, if you are placing the form in an included container (on a Site Home Page or Department Home Page), and you have the abstract function enabled, the free-form area will render in the included container section on those pages. Place your pasted or manually-generated content into the free-form area. For more information on working with the free-form area, visit the Free Form Area help page.
